The unique Pelion cuisine consists of many delicious dishes, making the Mountain of Centaurs a real “gastronomic paradise”. It has a great variety of local delicacies that visitors can taste, from a hot fasolada, a spicy spetzofai, fried zucchini and strapatsada with eggs and peppers to unusual and healthy salads such as tsitsiravla, kritama, ovries, vlita and trevla, seafood dishes, especially in the coastal areas, local fruit and desserts. Last but not least is the exquisite olive oil produced by the hundreds of olive groves of the region, which is used in cooking almost every dish.
Pelion also produces great quantities of very tasteful fruit such as apples, pears, cherries, chestnuts, grapes, oranges, peaches and a lot more.
