Panagia Faneromeni chapel is located in a rocky area above the coast line of Anilio village. The route is a bit hard to the chapel for a normal car, but you may always walk to it, leaving your car 300 meters before the spot. The area is a wonderfull spot for pick-niks, small family gatherings and recreation. The view to the sea is magnificent and you will find a small spring with fresh water nearby.
The chapell dates back to the 18th century, but it was damaged due to an earthquake and rebuilt since then. Every year on April 13, there is an annual feast made by local people to celebrate the orthodox day of Zoodochos Pigi. During that day local people gather up to the chapel in the morning, attend the ceremonial services in the temple and celebrate with food, music and drinks to a small opening below the chapel, above the sea.
